As a water-based emulsion, ULTRA Bond™ does not offer the threat of flammability. The emulsion remains stable up to 120°F and the flash point of the active component of the emulsion measured at 310°F.
ULTRA Bond™ is a stable, concentrated, non-volatile water emulsion consisting of paraffinic resins, water, and a small amount of wetting solution. The resins are the dust binding portions that bond the soil particles together without the need for humidity or moisture.
ULTRA Bond™ has been manufactured at our state-of-the-art-facility to strict specifications that must pass ASTM and AASHTO test procedures.
The pH of ULTRA Bond™ in concentrated form ranges from 5.0 to 7.0. As the product is diluted with water, the pH will move to match the pH of the local water being used as a diluent. Manufacturer’s recommendations require potable water be used for dilution and the water source be tested for compatibility with Ultra Bond™.
The NFPA hazard rating for ULTRA Bond™ has been rated as 0 for fire and reactivity and 1 for health. Ultra Bond™ does not contain any chemicals subject to the reporting requirements of Section 313 of Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 and 40 CRF Part 372.
ULTRA Bond™ will not leach out and a surface treated with this product can usually be opened to vehicular and foot traffic almost immediately.
